Spark A Change In The Community

Center for Lay Ministries honors our donor’s intention and respects the right of our donors to know how their money is being utilized to fulfill our mission.

Initially, our funding began with numerous financial contributions from local churches, but today we are able to meet our mission through a diversified base of support from churches, individual donors, corporate contributions, civic organizations, State funding, foundation grants, special events, and fees paid by women residing at the Bliss
and Bliss Too.

Although our funding comes from numerous sources, it is not enough to sustain the increase of families who must come here to receive one of our many services. This is why your financial investment is critical to the success of the Center for Lay Ministries’ ability to fulfill our mission to provide services to vulnerable populations in the local community with compassion, dignity, and respect.

The Center for Lay Ministries is proud to report that we earn high marks from those agencies whose job it is to monitor the activities of nonprofit organizations. According to the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, nonprofit organizations should spend at least 65 percent of their total expenses on program activities, with remaining funds going to administrative and fundraising expenses.

We continue to meet and exceed these minimum standards with 88 percent of our total annual expenses going directly to program services for our clients.
